About Guess the Note
Guess the Note is free ear training and vocal training in your browser — plus practical tools for hearing pitches, checking your range, and monitoring singing pitch. No download, no sign up required.
What is Guess the Note?
A practice site for recognising notes by ear, matching pitches with your voice, warming up with vocal exercises, finding your vocal range, monitoring pitch in real time, and playing a free online piano — all in the browser.
Use Practice Mode when you want to slow down and repeat. Use Game Mode for short 1, 3, or 5 minute sessions. Open Progress when you want to see whether your accuracy is actually improving. Use the standalone tools whenever you need a piano, a range check, or a live pitch display.

Where to start
Pick a path below. For Note Recognition, Interval Training, and Pitch Matching, start in Practice — open Game when you want a timed session, or Progress when you want a check-in. The other tools open straight into practice.
Note Recognition
Identify notes by ear on an interactive piano. Start in Practice to slow down and repeat, then try a short Game when you want a timer.
Interval Training
Hear two notes, name the interval, and build accuracy over time. Use Practice to slow down, or Game for a timed round.
Online Piano
Hear reference pitches on a free virtual piano — useful before ear training or singing practice.
Pitch Matching
Hear a note, sing it back, and get real-time pitch feedback. Use Practice to settle into your range, or Game for a quick sing-along drill.
Vocal Exercises
Practise common scales adapted to your vocal range. A focused warm-up when you want pattern work rather than single-note matching.
Vocal Range Test
Capture comfortable low and high notes to get an approximate range for warmups and practice.
Pitch Monitor
Watch your singing pitch move in real time on a note scale — useful while warming up or practising songs.
